Description: 

Hiring I&E Technician for a Refinery located in Channelview. Site was founded in 2014 as a family-owned business which operates an 11-acre refinery located on S. Sheldon Road.  The refinery was built in 2015 and is designed for production of 25,000 barrels of throughput per day.  Site processes crude condensate to produce several different product streams, including an atmospheric gas oil, a marine gas oil, multiple grades of kerosene/jet fuel, a naphtha blend stock, and an LPG stream.  These products are primarily transported by barge through a partnership with Energy Transfer Houston Terminal at their adjacent facility, or by truck through our on-site truck rack.

MAIN DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

Be able to assist with equipment repairs, new construction and Capitol projects

Calibrate instrumentaion and follow up with needed inspections

Assist with some PM's and inspections on pumps, finfans, and compressors, with the electrical portion

Be able to perform inspections on electrical circuits and electrical equipment by code standards

Use heavy equipment to move items around including forklifts & manlifts

keep up with various plant tools - electrical, pnuematic, battery operated, and hand tools

Be oncall to perform I&E services any time of day.

Be able to perform other small jobs with in the plant ( Clean up work, pump repair, safety and rescue services)

 

 

Requirements: 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

 

QUALIFICATIONS: Experience or certifications working on refinery instrumentation, including flowmeters

temperature, pressure and level transmitters, etc.  Prior work with DCS, PLC or BMS systems a plus.

 

 

EXPERIENCE: Must have 3yr+ experience industrial instrumentation or electrical work.

 

 

 

EDUCATION:

High School Diploma (REQUIRED)

College degree or technical class certifications, HAZWOPER Trained

 

 

SKILLS:   Heavy equipment trained, capable of troubleshooting, able to read and understand electrical

and instrumentation diagrams, manage appropriate instrumentation and electrical documentation.

 

PERFORMANCE GOALS:  contribute to the overall success of the maintenance team.  Be a willing and capable

team player, and assist with maintenance operations as needed.  Demonstrate a desire to grow into the role.

Serve as a leader of contractors during turnaround and other key maintenance activities.  Create and

manage systems that maintain or improve instrument and electrical reliability in the refinery.
